Join the Northern New Jersey Community Foundation and history, arts organizations, artists and creatives, and economic developers throughout New Jersey to advocate for the allocation of $250,000 in funding to support the Northern New Jersey National Heritage Area.

A North Jersey National Heritage Area can provide major benefits to communities, businesses, artists and other residents throughout the region, including:

• generate hundreds of millions of dollars in economic impact in New Jersey,
• provide hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants to support local nonprofit organizations and communities,
• create more opportunities for artists to get public art commissions,
• support thousands of jobs,
• revitalize local communities,
• increase local pride in North Jersey’s distinct heritage, history and culture, and
• protect historical and culturally significant places, and more.

The North Jersey National Heritage Area Project is spearheaded by a coalition of more than 80 organizations led by the Northern New Jersey Community Foundation. The Foundation works to benefit communities throughout North Jersey. Since 1998, it has distributed more than $1 million in grants and scholarships, helped local leaders get valuable resources to address critical issues in their communities, and produced more than 30 public art and environmental projects to inspire collaboration and creative thinking that benefits communities.
