Education
Working with schools and regional institutions of higher learning, the Northern New Jersey Community Foundation (NNJCF) supports education through a variety of initiatives that include professional development, curriculum design, technical assistance, and adult programs. The Foundation holds discussions, symposia, and workshops led by metro-area professionals for informing the community about general topics affecting life and work in the region.
By working together, sharing knowledge and experience, school districts can solve common problems, save money, and provide citizens with improved services. Through cooperative partnerships, objectives can be achieved that a district working alone cannot. For example, a consortium of districts applying for a grant is more likely to receive funding than one acting alone. Grant givers look for opportunities to leverage their dollars through partnerships that benefit larger areas and greater populations.
