Since 1998, the Northern New Jersey Community Foundation has been helping communities in North Jersey become better places to live, work, and enjoy. We bring people together and partner with leaders to address pressing issues such as public health, environmental protection, civil society and education. We have given more than $1 million in support to nonprofit organizations and scholarships to local residents. Through our ArtsBergen initiative, we create more opportunities for artists, designers and makers, and leverage the power of arts and creative placemaking to enhance communities in Bergen County. Our Climate Action Mobilization Project helps Hackensack and neighboring communities become more resilient.

On Thursday, October 26, join us and other friends, supporters and allies to celebrate our work and honor our President and co-founder Michael Shannon, as well as local heroes in civic leadership, arts and the environment:
