Public Health

The NNJCF convenes area hospitals, local health departments, government officials, business leaders, schools, not-for-profits, and the public for interactive meetings about common concerns, problems, and opportunities related to public health. Care is taken to include representative populations in these discussions. The Foundation supports initiatives producing measurable results that positively influence community health policy development. Notable examples are two programs addressing pediatric obesity, “Fit Families” and “The Pediatric Obesity Initiative,” which the NNJCF designed and conducted in association with regional medical personnel and social service organizations.
